       Typing Tutor is an interactive typing instruction/drill
program designed to run on the IBM Personal Computer. Typing Tutor
provides immediate and summary feedback on keying errors and typing
speed. The beginner to keyboard typing can start with the easier
keys and work up to the harder keys as typing skill improves.

       Typing Tutor is an interactive typing instruction and drill
program designed to run on the IBM Personal Computer.  Typing Tutor
provides immediate and summary feedback on the keying errors the
user has made and on the typing speed achieved in words per minute.
Beginning typists can start with the easier keys and work up to the
harder keys as their typing skills improve.

       Installation/operation: After loading the program from
cassette or diskette, users select their own starting level
depending on their skill level and their goals. Users then choose
the learning mode: paragraph drills or lessons. Users are given
menu choices throughout the lessons to change learning modes, to
adjust the program to increase the typing speed, or to expand the
number of keys learned. Users are given feedback on typing speed,
accuracy, and progress to date.
       In addition, the diskette version offers users the ability
to save their lessons on diskette (up to 39 students can use a
single diskette) and then to return to the point in the lessons
where they were saved. The diskette version also has a special
"Teacher Mode," which enables the teacher to construct and assign
test paragraphs and to monitor the progress of up to 39 students.
       Packaging: Typing Tutor is distributed on either cassette or

diskette and includes the Typing Tutor instruction booklet.
       Prerequisites: Typing Tutor is available in a diskette or
cassette version designed to operate on the IBM Personal Computer.
The diskette version requires at least 48KB of memory, one diskette
drive, and the IBM Personal Computer DOS. The cassette version
requires at least 32KB of memory and a customer-supplied cassette
tape recorder. Each version requires one of the following display
options:
-  The IBM Monochrome Display and the Monochrome Display and
       Printer Adapter
-  Customer-supplied video monitor with the Color/Graphics Monitor
       Adapter
-  A customer-supplied television set and RF modulator with the
       Color/Graphics Monitor Adapter
Customer responsibilities: The customer is responsible for making
backup copies of the diskette or cassette.
